First: Diploma in Physical Education:

Article (6)

Minia University Council, based on the request of Faculty of Physical Education, grants Diploma of Physical Education with specifying the exact major.

Article (7)

The Faculty Council determines the majors that will be taught each year at the diploma level based on the request of the councils of scientific departments of the faculty, provided that the number of students applying shall not be less than (3) three in each major.

Article (8)

conditions for obtaining diploma degree:

  • Student must have a bachelor's degree in physical education from an Egyptian university or an equivalent degree from approved faculty or scientific institute.
  • Student must have at least a good grade, or two (2) years after obtaining the bachelor's degree with any grade.
  • Student submits an application for enrollment after the announcement and within the specified period. The applications are submitted to the Graduate Studies Committee and then approved by the faculty council after an interview with the granting department.
  • Payment of prescribed tuition fees according to the number of hours registered for each semester.
  • Student submits his military service status.

-  Faculty Council can add other conditions to compare between applicants to choose the required numbers.

Article (9)

The Schedules attached to this bylaw indicate the study plan, academic courses, number of credit hours, degrees of oral, written and practical exams, course work, and the number of written exam hours.

Article (10) Research Project:

The student submits a research project which is registered with the beginning of the enrollment with six (6) credit hours. The head of the department distributes the research project to the faculty members in the department, and after it is completed, it is presented to a committee consisting of three faculty members in the relevant department. Each arbitrator gives a score out of 100, and the average is calculated and added to his cumulative average according to the grading system existed in the rest of the courses. In the event that the project is not submitted, the student is given one chance only.

 

Article (11) Student's registration is canceled during the diploma level according to the following cases:

  • If the student fails in the examinations prescribed in accordance with the hours approved by this bylaw.
  • If the student does not receive the degree within two years from the date of registration.
  • If the student submits an application to cancel his registration or withdraw his file or discontinue the study.

Second: Master’s degree in physical education:

 Article (12)

Minia University Council, based on the request of Faculty of Physical Education, grants Diploma of Physical Education with specifying the exact major.

Article (13)

the duration of the study to obtain a master's degree in physical is not less than two years from the date of enrollment and may be extended upon the proposal of the supervisor after approval by the department and the faculty.

Article (14)

conditions for obtaining Master’s degree:

  • Student must have a bachelor's degree in physical education from an Egyptian university or an equivalent degree from approved faculty or scientific institute.
  • Student should not have obtained a bachelor's degree more than five years unless he received a diploma postgraduate studies with a grade of (good) at least and a general assessment (accepted) in the bachelor's degree.
  • Student should submit an application to the faculty for enrollment upon announcement and to submit it to the relevant department council for opinion before being presented to the faculty council. The date of approval of the faculty council is considered the date of the student’s registration.
  • Student must be a member of Syndicate of Sports Professions (for Egyptians only).
  • Faculty Council can add other conditions to compare between applicants to choose the required numbers.

 ● Student should pay the prescribed tuition fees set by the university for both Egyptian and international students.
